Welcome to the Galveston Hotel & Lodging Association! 

Welcome to the Galveston Hotel & Lodging Association (GHLA)!  Our members include more than 100 hotels and allied business located across Galveston Island.  Members range from small family owned properties to major convention hotels.  GHLA advocates on behalf of its member’s interests through active involvement in local, state, and national issues. 

GHLA offers members the ability to network with the leading members of the local hospitality industry and attend educational events discussing top trends and issues facing the industry.

    Join the Galveston Hotel & Lodging Association for its Fall Membership Meeting and Luncheon on September 16. This important program will feature an update on the state of the City of Galveston and the Park Board of Trustee's legislative priorities.  

    Brian Maxwell with the City of Galveston will share key updates on the City’s accomplishments, current challenges, and vision for the community’s future. His remarks will also highlight the initiatives and priorities expected to shape the year ahead.

    Ryan Brannan will provide an overview of the Galveston Park Board’s legislative priorities for the upcoming Texas legislative session, including initiatives affecting tourism promotion and the visitor economy. Attendees will gain valuable insight into the opportunities and challenges facing the Island and learn how local stakeholders are working to advance Galveston’s interests in Austin.

    This timely program will give hospitality leaders, business owners, residents, and community partners an opportunity to connect and better understand the issues that could affect their businesses, the hospitality industry, and the broader Galveston community.
