Welcome to the Galveston Hotel & Lodging Association (GHLA)!  Our members include more than 100 hotels and allied business located across Galveston Island.  Members range from small family owned properties to major convention hotels.  GHLA advocates on behalf of its member’s interests through active involvement in local, state, and national issues. 

GHLA offers members the ability to network with the leading members of the local hospitality industry and attend educational events discussing top trends and issues facing the industry.

    Join the Galveston Hotel & Lodging Association on September 22nd for an important discussion on the public policy issues that will shape the future of tourism, economic development, and quality of life on Galveston Island.

    Representatives from the Galveston Island Park Board of Trustees and the City of Galveston will provide an overview of their respective legislative priorities for the upcoming Texas legislative session, including initiatives impacting tourism promotion, infrastructure, workforce development, transportation, public safety, and the visitor economy. Attendees will gain valuable insight into the policy opportunities and challenges facing the Island and learn how local stakeholders are working to advance Galveston’s interests in Austin.
