Kelly de Schaun, Executive Director for the Galveston Island Park Board of Trustees will address the status of the hotels on the Island as well as the steps that the Park Board/CVB are taking to support local businesses.  Scott Joslove, THLA President & CEO and Justin Bragiel, General Counsel will discuss the latest issues around reopening the Texas economy and businesses. 

• Latest Governor’s order, and how it affects hotel operations such as meetings, pools, fitness centers, weddings, etc.
• Screening guests and employees for COVID-19
• Federally mandated leave: Update policies
• Workplace safety standards for employees (masks, social distancing guidelines, etc)
• Potential liability threats from coronavirus exposure
